When You Ain’t Done Enough

The biggest pain in the ass about setting targets,

Is that you have to go high enough to make them worthy and with that,

You have a bigger chance of not hitting them.

From that leads to the feeling of failure or worse the ( I didn’t care anyway) f*ck it attitude.

Which is worse because that leads to giving up or looking for the next new shiny object to focus on.

But if you just look back over the week, you would see what you DID pull off.

And it’s NEVER nothing.

Looking back puts you in power for the next week,

Next challenge or even....

A better attempt at the same challenge.

If you can learn from it, that’s where you get confidence.

Being confident is without doubt the best tool to have in a situation,

If your confident you can be committed

I know that any situation that I let get out of control came from not being 100 % committed and I was not confident.

Get confident by looking back at what you’ve achieved prior to deciding what to do next.

The mind is set up to be negative to protect you....

But you can use that as fuel to get what you want,

So look back before you look forward and set big targets just like what we do at Unbreakable.

The Mañana Principle

Been doing some work with a spanish
agency,

And the mañana principle is in full
effect.

There is nothing like expecting something
due to a certain perspective and then....

Being disappointed because the other party
doesn't have the same perspective as you.

This happens everywhere though right?

The Mrs can't understand why you need
another new piece of golf equipment and
you can't work out why she's adamant that
you need new curtains.

In both situations neither party has the
same WORLD view on the topic so there can
be conflict.

But what if you could change your own
world view, of what you believe is
possible and use it to benefit your
growth.

Use it as a way of getting a little bit
better every day.

You can....

I've done it my self and its not as
difficult as you might think.

What you need is doubt about your self
doubt.

Sounds stupid right?

Ok, think of the time when you believed
England was gonna win the world cup.

Not the next one, just the last one where
you thought we could do it,

Then what happend was over the years sh*t
show after sh*t show made you change your
view.

But self doubt about something just comes
from what you believe about yourself,
based on your interpretation of a previous
experience.

If you can get enough doubt about whats
holding you back, you will give yourself
an opening for a new possibility.

And its something we cover at Unbreakable
Golfers.

Because like in business, Golf can't be
helped by doubting yourself more.

The Oh Fuc Timer

The Oh fuc Timer(O.F.T) was something that was taught to me when I was a 16 year old apprentice.

Taught by one of the “old boy” electrician mentors I had.

Basically it’s when you have something that has some sort of deadline, or a particular end in sight that is just out of reach, but....

A set of circumstances brings the date quickly forward with no way of changing and no pissing and moaning available.

Just decision time,

A case of now or never.

So the Oh Fuc Timer is set and its a proper unprepared race against the clock.

This happened to me yesterday,

I’m planing a move, one that’s quite involved and could be (trying not to sound too dramatic) a massive change.

In my mind I had until July 8th to make a proper thought out and tested decision,

But Wednesday night something came up that set off a 48 hour O.F.T involving making serious decisions about where my future lay.

Now it didn’t come off for various reasons but it did make me completely clear about where my future lays and puts to bed a lot of doubt I had.

So why am I telling you this and more importantly how can you use it.

Every now and then we are thrown an O.F.T.

And it makes us get clear about what we are willing to do and the sacrifices we are willing to make and specifically the PAIN we are willing to go through.......

to get what we want.

We can chose to step up or wait and hope for the next opportunity.

It ultimately comes down to are we willing to make the sacrifices that are needed to get what we SAY we want.

So list a goal or target you have wanted but for some reason never been able to achieve or get started.

Then list ALL the reasons why You think it’s NOT possible, then find the one reason that has the most doubt,

Fear or resistance.

And set a timer to see all the possible ways to overcome that doubt.

Our mind will keep us stuck in what it sees as “the norm”

It does this to protect us.

But we can challenge the norm,

We don’t have to be the same as everyone else.

Challenge the norm cos it’s what you used to DO before you started telling yourself that you are now no longer capable of it because of age.

Hi Ho The 90 Dwarfs

So I was part of my boys school trip to the Tower of London yesterday.

With 90 yellow bibbed five to seven year olds

And as luck would have it

It was pretty easy...well for my group anyway,

One of them didn’t turn up so I had four in my group rather than five,

(For the record every group that had five seemed to be constantly asking where the missing one was)

Now this could also be that I went into the morning powered by a morning routine...

Something to sling shot me into the day rather than feel like I’m pulling Optimus Prime

What I do is pretty much take a mental sh*t before I EVEN start the day.

I get my mind right, before I check my phone, the news, or the daily battle of business.

Plus anytime things looked like they could get a bit dicey I would run an

Ascension attitude (basically a way of creating space instantly in your mind with your eyes open)

If your morning routine is wake up, coffee and social media then you will be in scarcity mode.

Basically (for your nervous system) it’s like having someone bursting into your bedroom turn the lights on and start asking you questions.

And you’re interpretation of information when in scarcity is incomparable to that of when you’re calm

(The difference is as big as two people seeing a snake and one person is scared of snakes)

So find a morning routine that puts you in power as apposed to scarcity

Something that you can WIN in the morning that sets you up with confidence and energy

And if you can have something that can calm you (without anyone even noticing) that will help you produce

We’ll build an exact one for you and your goals at Unbreakable Golfers

If you feel you need to have more energy in the morning, with the added bonus of improving your golf and well being then....

You know where to go
