Get More Done In Less Time

So Monday I worked from home

The house was empty from 8am till 1pm and
in those 5 hours I got far more done than I
would have in 2 full long days at work.

The fact is there were no distractions,

The phone didn’t ring unless I set up the
call,

No time vampires popping in to suck the
momentum out of my day,

No pointless questions from staff that
think just cos you're there it’s easier to
just ask you.

And the outcome was Big Ass RESULTS.

Don’t get me wrong this ended up like a
perfect set up morning.

Like when you go through every set of
lights on the way home,

Or when you find a tenner in your golf bag,

Normally on top of the time vampires there
would have been notification after
notification on the phone,

The news reminding you that arsenal sent 11
empty shirts to Nottingham,

And it made me think why golf (unless of
course your struggling to hit the ball) can
give you that same feeling

Away from distraction,

Away from the time vampires,

Away from sky spots news on a loop showing
the same fxcking school boy mistakes you’ve
been watching for years.

As you can tell I’m not completely over
that result yet

Anyway, the undistracted mind can pull of
major sh*t if we let it.

We just have to let it.

with all the distractions it's no wonder
that fella's spend so much time angry and
frustrated.

And this frustration carries over to
everything in a man life,

His family,

His business,

And his ability to stay calm on the golf
course.

What Are You Willing To Give Up To Get It

Every man and his dog has just set some
goals.

Give up smoking,

Lose weight,

Leave the Hampton alone

But without any plan of how to track and
measure it, just the outcome.

The problem is what if the result takes
time, how does anyone know how they are
doing.

One of the most important things to do is
to be aware of what you have to give up.

More importantly are you even willing TO
give it up.

Take smoking it’s more than the cigarettes,
are they willing to give up that f*ck you
fag. The one that when the sh*t hits the
fan they can go outside and cool down.

No amount of gum or patches can replace
that but there are other things that can.

Get those ideas in place first so that when
rage starts to build there’s something else
to release the rage.

Then decide if it’s worth it,

This will give you leverage on yourself.

A reason to keep going when you want to
break whatever goal you set

And stop the story of “its too hard” or “I
don’t realise I had to give this up as
well”


The fact is if you can get completely clear
on what you have to give up to get what you
want.

You can make a PROPER decision if it’s even
worth your time and effort

It’s about getting crystal clear

sacrifices it will take to get what you

The Shits

Mickey Flanagan once said “if you went to
Spain you got the shits, and the fear of
the shits was monumental. But now you have
to go more long haul to get the shits”


I can say with absolute certainty that you
can get the shits by living on the
outskirts of London and working in the west
end

You can be going about your day and out of
the blue be tired to the karzi for 45
minuets.

With nothing to show for it other than num
legs and a ring round your bum

Normally what happens in the winter is my
kids get sick

Then the Mrs

And I’ll maybe get a runny nose.

But this year the kids have played ill
tennis for the last 3 weeks and the Mrs has
been like iron women.

Not even a headache

But me on the other hand for 3 days I
needed to be within an ear shot of a karzi

Or I would have ended up being a terrible
pub story.

This just goes to show there are certain
strains of sexist illnesses and not just
that killer to production

Man flu

Now normally I would look at the facts,
what was my wife doing that me and the kids
weren’t that my have fought off this
epidemic

She doesn’t have milk and hasn’t for ages.

This is painful for me to admit as a latte
without milk is not a latte. (Obviously)

And The lactose in milk can fxck your upset
stomach like a pint of Stella to a geezer’s
mind who’s wearing a vest

The fact is I didn’t want to admit it

So I guess my question is,

What are you currently doing now that
everyone else is doing,

Where you are just following the herd even
though YOU KNOW it’s not the best thing for
you Right NOW.

And if it’s golf related my man flu
surviving friend than we can help.
