When They Try To Talk You Out Of It

You know when you pitch an idea

And the people you pitch it to, instantly
try to talk you out of it.

They can find everything wrong with it,

How it won’t work or why it’s not possible.

In a time like this it’s important to see
if they’re scared. Cos fear does something
to a fella.

He can’t admit he’s fearful

Fellas are fearless right

Bullsh*t.

So the next time you suggest something
remember that if it has implications to the
people you’re suggesting it to.

They might be acting out of fear

Fear of change

Fear of loss

Even fear of the unknown

Just be aware it’s not that it’s
impossible, it’s just a brand new fear for
them and it’s gonna take time for that
initial fear to subside.

But then, when the shock is not so great

Pitch it again and see how many questions
they have.

And more importantly what type of
questions.

The first time they will be:

“I can’t see how that will work because...”

The next time could be.....

“So how do you think that’s gonna work?”

Ones close minded the other open minded.

So my question to you is,

Where in your body are you not focusing on
getting better out of fear?

Fear that you’ve tried stuff before that
hasn’t worked,

Fear of failure,

Fear that you won’t succeed

this is the worst one cos do you know that
if you don’t even try, you’ve failed
anyway.

Conversations With The Fireplace

So for Xmas my dad got one of those google
echo's

Now I know most people could just google
most things

But my dad could f*ck up a tv remote so
googling is a bit of a push

Being able to speak rather than use a
computer is a huge advance in my dads
ability to access that new thing called the
internet

However when he’s had a drink he seems to
forget how you talk to this piece of
equipment

Take the following that he tried after a
session on Friday

He's got as close to it where it sits on the
fireplace and says

“Alexa, now listen to me, I want you to
play me a song by that fella from ….”

After 4 attempts and my mum telling him

“You're not supposed to have a conversation
with it”

He decided "this dosent f*cking work love"

So it doesn’t work because it wasn’t used
right.

That can happen to anything.

And it can happen in with golf

You must know a golfer off 20 that plays
with blades cos he wants to “shape shots”

Or someone that jumps from fitness program
to fitness program and the story they tell
is how it doesn’t work “for them”

Things work if they’re implemented as they
were intended

You can’t use a Mac as a door stop, and
complain it’s expensive

So if you're the type of fella that can’t
take instruction,

Can’t follow a simple plan,

Then don’t think about stepping up to
unbreakable golfers when it’s available,
cos that will be a waste of time

But if you can follow instruction and want
to start the year with the best possible
chance to get that handicap down and do it
whilst having a more powerful body

Then we will be the programe for you

Whats yours?

New Year Same Old Sh...

Listen my man straight to the point this
morning.

There are two ways to start your 2018

Same old sh*t

New cool sh*t

The thing is we can blame

Timing,

Financing,

Family or business

But the cold hard truth is we are 100% in
control of our OWN actions.

When it comes to New Years revolutions It
ends up being a list of things we would
like to do,

But with no thought of HOW to do them or
better yet stick to them.

you don’t want it to be “New year same old
sh*t”

and seeing as this is the one time in the
year where everyone sets goals I thought
I’d give you some help.

If you don’t want to be like everyone else
and give up by the end of January then do
the following

Set a clear target

Sounds simple but you’d be surprised how
vague most targets are. If it’s not clear
how do you know if you’ve won or not

Or if you’re on track.

Make your 12 month target seem impossible
but break it up so that you first 30 Days
is doable and motivating

The 2 things that will stop you are

Boredom and burnout

If what you start in January causes you to
do far too much too soon you will burnout
and give up but,

At the same time If it isn’t challenging
enough you will give up because it just
becomes more sh*t to do in your busy
schedule.

And for something other than just more to
do, how about a one day event that will
leave you motivated and focused across all
areas of your golf

Fear Of Criticism

So I'm off to Ruxley This morning to go ice
skating

The thing is. I've never done it. EVER.

And I've always stayed away from it out of
an internal habit.

Which is quite odd considering I'm well up
for trying new things and seeing what I'm
capable of.

But this goes back to me as a 5 year old.

You see back then I convinced myself that I
wouldn't ice skate, Dont know why, I was 5
and probably a bit of a pussy. Since then
any time a chance to ice skate has come up
I've missed it.

On purpose.

This obviously was some type of internal
programing.

A fear of LOOKING FOOLISH

I've been snowboarding, played football
even boxed and not had that uncomfortable
feeling

But by being aware of it I HAVE TO GO.

You only make progress by getting
uncomfortable and that applies to anything.

So heres a question for you.

What are you holding yourself back doing
based on an old belief, habit or
programing. All based on something that
happened to you 10,20, even 30 years ago.
Something that is based on a different
version of YOU.

A version of you THAT no longer exists

That could all change if you just
challenged that belief.

From a golf point of view maybe you've
tried everything and dont think there's
anything NEW out there.

Something that inspires and challenges you

To Be BETTER

If its a doubt about getting more from one
golf day than you've ever got before then
you will want to be part of
