The Billionaires Mansion

So this week I had to go to a
billionaires mansion

To give my expert opinion

Let’s not get this twisted fella

I am not blowing my own

It’s how it was told to them,

it just became an up-sell of weird
circumstances

Quick overview

We look after a famous designer store in
London

They have supplied some particular
lights to their “high level clients”

Last year I was asked by the store to
look at an issue with these lights

In the store.

I won’t go into it but it’s designed a
certain way

Soon after I was asked to go to one of
their clients in Notting Hill for the
same issue

And that client was a miserable as*hole

So the same issue had happened at a
billionaires mansion near Cranleigh golf
course

They’d had similar issues for 4 months

This place was amazing

To Get an idea,

When we left the staff quarters I timed
it

It took 3 minutes doing 30 MPH to get to
the front gate

What’s the point of this story

No matter how much money people have

If they don’t have access to the right
information

It will take longer to get things done

So with golf performance

why go to people that:

don’t play golf,

Haven’t been injured playing golf before

Or had those issues fixed

The Tomato Technique

So yesterday I had to jump on the old

“Pomodoro technique”

Pomodoro is the Italian word for tomato

But I’ll get to that In a minute

I literally only had 40 minutes to get
some work done

On the Computer

So the best way to condense time

Is to have the impending doom of a
deadline

Notice how much stuff you get done
before you go away?

How productive you are?

That is the power of a deadline

A proper f*cking, all hell breaks loose
if it don’t get done deadline

But having no deadline bleeds the
opposite

Task time expansion

Think of it this way,

When you have to be out of the house

The morning becomes very productive

You condense a lot of stuff into a small
period of time.

Now take a day when you don’t have to be
out the house ASAP

The same simple stuff

Clean teeth,

tea,

breakfast

Morning macker

Get dressed

Now takes a whole lot of time

The task will always expand to the time
you give it

The body will always do whats
comfortable and of course

people need time to relax,

They won’t put a deadline on something
that doesn’t necessarily need it

Pomodoro is a way around that

You set a time period for the task with
a rest time added in

So you could have 25 minutes for the
task with 5 minutes rest

In that rest you can do anything you
want

Cup of coffee

Quick sh*t

Rub one out

But it cant be part of the task.

Because you know you’re going to reward
yourself with a break

And you only have 25 minutes to get
stuff done

You do MORE in the 25 minutes

Remember simplicity is where success
lives

Less checking Facebook and anyone that
interrupts you gets an angry middle
finger

There are free apps for this too

That have a ticking clock in the
background

Nothing like a ticking clock to Hurry
the hell up

You will get more done in that 25
minutes

Because you are competitive, even
against yourself

And that’s why we love golf

Which reminds me

I am now fully booked for the golf
performance sessions

PS Condensing time and not getting
overwhelmed is the key to quicker
progress

That’s why the golfmob worked so well

Don’t Let Um Win

Fella, there are people that are just
waiting

To Jedi mindf*ck you

And it’s important to not bite

Because if you pull them across the
table

And ring their neck like homer does to
Bart Simpson

You’ve just let them win that one.

Don’t get me wrong their pride and
esophagus is now damaged

But that was their goal

To Trigger you

To make you forget what your plan / day
/ agenda was

They now have something called “frame
control.”

They can now dictate the “frame” of the
situation

They are now in control

While you have “lost control”

This can happen with the Mrs too,

Let’s say your in a situational where
she’s being

“A little unreasonable”

If you bite, or give her any fuel for
her fire

She’s just won

Arguing about what you “just said “
rather than the thing she was on your
case about

Don’t let them win

You don’t see professional boxers lose
it in the ring

Maybe in the press conference but let’s
just say they’ve probably seen way.....

Too much WWF, WWE or whatever that sh*ts
called now

And that’s about “selling” the fight

Not “fighting” the fight

They know that losing control plays into
the hand of the opponent

When you “opponent” (business, Mrs or
golf) says something that triggers you

Ask these question before you bite or
have to dig a hole to put them in

Is this a target for me to lose control
of this situation If I lose control do I
LOSE What do I get by not biting

Personal I feel not biting will trigger
the f*ck out of them

And in that We win

Two things that can help with this is
just

Counting your breaths will stop you
losing your sh*t as often

But working on your triggers will be the
only way to stop them “triggering you”

By the way, anger, fear and stress
tension the body

And that can effect your golf swing

If you wanna move better and be less
tight in the golf swing

7 Hours Is Too Long

I spent far too long in a chair
yesterday

I think it was 7 hours with a 30 minute
break

It was a training day and the room we
were in is designed to

And does

Resemble a living room

Not sure why you would want to do that
but hey it's media

The one thing about sitting on the sofa
all f*cking day

Is at some point your back hurts

Woke up this morning and my back felt a
little uncomfortable

Years ago this used to always happen to
me

Waking up in some sort of pain or
discomfort

And blaming the bed

Not the sh*t that I'd been doing all day
before

But the bed.

I move a lot

I very aware of moving a lot

And I try to do it as often as I can

But sometimes you're doing something
that doesn't make that possible

What I should have said was

"I need to stand up for a minute"

But I didn't, and that's no ones fault
but my own

What you do now will determine what you
are like in the future

If you want to be better tomorrow

You need to do something about it today

Unfortunately I can't help you in the
clinic today

I have one spot left and it's not till
next week

Move better

And be better
