Unwelcome Reach Arounds

So dude in the mosh pit, (see yesterdays
email)

By the end of the first song

My pal tells me he's lost his phone,

Now hes a big powerful fella,

And he spent the whole first song pretty
much picking people off the floor.

So the last thing that entered my head
is that someone would have taken it.

So we start "Trying" to look for it but
this is proving imposible.

So we carry on.

Later another one of my pals has the
same thing and this seems to be a theme.

At the end of the gig there are loads of
people searching the floor for plenty of
phones.

Not one was found.

No phones would have survived the
jumping of Libertines fans BUT

Not one phone, no broken screens or
bits.

Pick pockets in the mosh pit.

Now the phone is replaceable,

But the data on it not so much,

Photos from holiday,

Kids days out.

This is why we back stuff up right.

So that you plug a replacement in and
can go again straight away,

All of your contacts and information.

But only if you have take the time and
effort to back it up

"just in case"

No matter where you go or what you do
there is stuff that can go wrong.

You need to have a back up plan for when
shxt goes sideways.

The ability to have a bad day and get
back on track straight away rather than
just drift, give up and start again.

For golf your back up is "Golf
Performance Therapy"

And the Golfmob is where you can "back
up" to where you used to be.

Before time, work and family changed the
way you look after yourself.

"Moshing" At 38 Years Old

So we went to "On Blackheath" festival on
Sunday,

Fun loving criminals,

Jake Bugg,

And the reason we where there:

The libertines.

Now when we used to go to gigs we
were always in the mosh pit.

But we were much younger.

It was the done thing

Not everyone's cup of tea I know dude.

But,

If you're gonna do something,

Go all in.

So me and 3 pals are moshing at 38.

And thanks to Lateral chain stability
(GolfMob)

while being 38 and 6 foot 2,

(Or maybe 5 foot 8.9375).

I can still hold my own.

My converse are fxcked but there must
always be a casualty on a good night out
right fella

I forget just how much fun this shxt is.

We get so used to taking the family to
events and being in the captain sensible
zone

That we forget what it's like to proper
lose your shxt.

No justification,

just a mob mentality.

Sometimes it's good to lose your shxt.

The thing is Golf isn't the place for
it,

and most work places don't allow you to
walk around with a baseball bat in your
hand say "what?"

But

You must find a release, a place to
expend your energy

To lose you shxt,

And be a man,

And then re focus so you can stand in
the eye of the storm, calm as anything.

The GolfMob Is like that,

Get some anger out so when you go home
shxt can stay calm.

If Mobsters Done Golf Days.

So played in DK's (Mobster) golf day at
Redlibbets Golf Club

And at the turn our group had (from what
I can remember)

17, 18, 19 and 21 points.

There was some quality golf played that
day

Big booming drives with a slight draw

Peppering the pin

150 yards out of a fairway bunker to 6
foot of the flag.

DK's amazing round.

But the best shot, the shot that I will
remember most.

Came on the 14th logest drive hole, Lord
Coe hit his drive

And out of the blue

A big high hook left

This ball was gone

It was higher than the trees.

Nothing could stop it

Then in mid air the ball changed
direction and dropped out of the sky.

His Lordship had hit a power line

Never seen anything like it.

Thing is, The Lord had played well all
day,

and this one shot could have fxcked his
game.

Not only was it very funny

but it keeps our 4 ball moving.

Sometimes however well you're doing you
just need a BIG bit of help.

And thats where I come in.

I cant erect big nets for you everywhere

But I can show you a new way of
thinking,

A way to use your body as a tool,
on the golf course

Golf performance is the ability to get
the most out of your body for your golf

And the results are amazing.

Maybe it's time to get one of my Full
GolfBody assessments.

We find your weakest link and fix it.

PS This was how to run a golf day, I
think I'll plan a big one for all the
Mobsters next year.

I'll let you know.

"The Exploding Clown Car Of Football"

I no longer go to football games,

There was a time when I would get to
around 35 games a season home and away.

Spending full days in a car on the
motorway to watch a game.

Family and work changed the way I spend
any FREE time.

And Arsenal are currently the "exploding
clown car of football"

But even in the good years there was
always a worry.

It was a case of who was in charge of
the "self destruct" button that day.

But at any shxt game,

shxt performance or

referee 12th man day.

There would be one thing that would
ignite the crowd and it wouldn't be a
goal.

Cos a goal can feel like joy or relief.

But the one thing that got the blood
flowing would be

A crunching tackle.

Boom "av that"

The crowd instantly back in the teams
side,

If there's another one soon after the
team has just gained momentum.

There is no one in THIS team to do that.

Sometimes commitment is more important
than the result.

You can miss your goal.

You can not succeed in your task

But if you were committed you will have
a completely different mindset.

Some people are so obsessed with not
wanting to look stupid that they won't
try anything.

And this holds them back

That's why the next GolfMob you can have
a free trail

Cos I understand that what's held you
back so far might be the fear that

You might not be able to do it.

And if you can't what have you lost.

90 minutes. A game of football

You are capable of more

John "crunching" Seton

PS this may be the last free trail I run
this year.

On a system that EVERY golfer through it
has added distance

If you don't want to hit a 7 iron 15
yards further that's cool.

But the study's show that the further
you hit the ball

The lower your handicap

"You've Fxcking Ad Me Over"

"You've fxcking ad me over, took the
piss, you see an old boy and thought
he's a mark"

This is what came out of my 70 year old
Dad in the 02 shop last week.

Quick back story,

A few years ago this is what he said to
me.

"John, my phone needs an upgrade"

Me "Get an iPhone they're easy to use"

He comes back with the new Windows phone
that neither of us had seen before.

Me "Why didn't you get an Iphone"

Dad "The bloke in the shop said it was
the best one"

He still cant use that phone.

So only a few days ago he's due for an
upgrade.

"Get an iPhone they're easy to use, get
the deal, ring me and I'll see if its
what you need"

Couple of days later He calls me and
says.

"I just give it to um in the o2 shop,
they took the piss"

Turns out,

He'd gone in the day before

He's asked for an iPhone, they said the
deal was £50 a month

And told him he was paying £40

so he's thought, Not bad for an extra
tenner a month.

He spent all day and night putting his
numbers in his NEW phone

He checks his bill and he was paying £27
a month.

He sat there fuming all night didn't
tell anyone.

Left early the next day and had mission
to kick some ass.

This is what happens when people don't
follow simple instructions,

I could have told him what he was
paying.

With his Windows phone, 2 years later,
he'd still say,

"I can't use the fxcking thing"

Anyway he sorted it all himself and got
the lot for £17 a month.

He would never complain at a restaurant
he would rather pay and leave

"Don't mug yourself"

But this IS the power of commitment

He was so committed to getting his own
back that he was willing to "job em" if
needed.

And with that he's got a deal better
than what he was paying.

John "Instructions" Seton

PS He got a quality deal but was fuming
for whole day.

Had he not spent the time putting those
numbers in

he would have kept a phone he still
struggled to use.

But cos he put the effort in he gave
himself leverage.

And he was committed to keeping the
phone but winning the argument.
