The Best Way To Get Better

I study copy and writing daily, and all of
the best all say the same thing.

The only way you get better at writing is
by writing,

But here’s where the best add some extra,
you have to copy what’s already been
writing by the best.

That’s right, not to put it out as content
(that’s plagiarism and not good etiquette)

But to get used to the flow of good
writing,

And you do that by writing out what’s
already been written,

But it goes deeper that that,

Most successful business books will tell
you don’t try to do it all yourself, find
who’s done what you want and ask them how
they done it,

You will get there quicker and add the bits
that suite you

But let’s go deeper again,

It’s been documented that our kids will do
what we do regardless of what we tell them.

So guess what?

I can’t tell my boy off for always wanting
The iPad if I’m constantly looking at my
phone,

I can’t blame my daughter for always
wanting chocolate after dinner if I always
hit ”the cupboard” after my dinner.

You only get better by doing

You get better quicker by copying what’s
been done and what works

You can’t break old habits without building
new ones

History’s Greatest Monster

Now I know there are few things that pop
into your head for this, wether it’s
baddies in real life,

Baddies in films or even the likes of lions
or King Kong

However in my opinion history’s greatest
monster is Jose Mourinho

The man that destroyed le bosses plans to
build from the inside when arsenal were
paying players wages by loans for you and
watching eat well for less.

On top of that there was a point when this
fella could walk up to the queens front
door

Squat down

Take a shit and sports writers would have
said some how it was a move from a master
tactician

But the thing is the reason why I believe
he is history greatest monster is not buy
gouging a mans eye from behind,

It’s cos he took what was mine

Years of traveling-up and down the country
narrowly missing out on titles to Man U
(1999 still stings a bit, can’t wait for
the 20 year anniversary of that bloody
season)

To have a team come out of nowhere and
dominant was tough,

But unfortunately, that comes down to being
pissed off at something that I have
absolutely no control over,

The fact is wether I went to those games or
not had no impact on the results.

I can only change the things I have control
over,

But most people wont even change that.

There are certain things you have a control
over changing or not, just don’t chose to
blame others for the things you can change.

Got to spend some time with Golf pro James
Skelton yesterday and he got me on the sam
lab putting thingy,

Now, I’ve not worked on my putting for a
while but I was still stunned how getting
massively off course can happen

I was setting the club face massively open,
lofting the club like I was sending a free
kick over a 3 man wall.

And my arc was missing so much Indiana
Jones wouldn’t have found it.

Obviously he fixed the sh*t out of me, to
The point where there was just a quality
effortless sound off the putter.

You know the sound I’m talking about, the
sound that only comes off the center

The thing is I had no idea how far off
course I was,

That’s why in any plan it’s important to
have bench marks,

strategically placed check points set up so
we can see and correct if we are off
course.

It’s like going down the wrong street for 1
mile compared to 10 miles, it’s easier to
get to where you’re going if you course
correct before you go to far.

But fellas do this all the time,

They set targets at the start of a year
without building in bench marks to check if
they’re on track or

If they need to course correct.

If you set targets at the start of the year
and you’re already off track or worse

Haven’t started yet / gave up

How The Body React's To Fear

Not sure if you know this, but your mind
can play serious games with your body.

It can make you think you cant move a
certain way,

Cant do certain things,

Cant get better,

This mainly comes down to fear, I'm not
taking about proper sh*t your pants scared
im talking about fear by protection.

Picture this, you injure your knee and tend
to limp for a bit, you start using a
different walking pattern,

Place your weight differently,

Then the injury heals but you still dont
100% trust it,

So you continue to avoid that side

But

This NEW temporary pattern becomes
permanent.

The issue has cleared up but we need to RE
Learn the old pattern,

The ones that make you better,

Stronger

More mobile,

We just have to show the body that it is
SAFE in the old pattern.

And BOOM like magic massive increases in
range of motion

and

Relief from pain.

But its not magic, its just patterns

And we find and fix them with

Golf Specific Screens…

And it really is that simple.

And when you see whats possible thats when
you become committed

And commitment leads to results
