I've Been Struggling


Had a lesson with Golf Pro James Skelton

Been working on a few changes over the last
few months,

When we're done it will actually be quite
major changes.

Being honest I've been struggling,

And dude for a fella that wants to see
constant progress been a bit of a pussy.

And for a fella thats normally a dick
it aint felt good.

You see I hadn't put the time in and more
importantly didn't follow up with the next
lesson.

So it ended up being a mix and match of what
was the old swing and what (I THOUGHT) the
instructions were.

"thought" cos we never do exactly what we are
told fella

we only do parts of it

The parts we remember,

Thats why when your with a Pro its all good

Thats why you have to go back for the follow
up my man.

And Saturday it was "THE SESSION"

YOU know what I mean by that dude the session
is when it all come to together

The setup staff that we worked on months ago.

The finish that were worked on months ago

Now from a movement point of view just
practice the new swing.

The lesson here fella is Everything is a
process

EVERYTHING

Its what we do every day in the GolfMob but
guess what

I started to tell the story

The story that I didn't have time to practice
and book the next lesson.

How do I make myself accountable?

Pre book the next lesson.

Then its a case did you do the work YES or NO

No stories.

1 lesson will not do anything

The most heathy tasty meal means nothing if
you eat it once a week.

The perfect bespoke plan for your body does
nothing if you only do it once a month

The swing changes you make can only work as
part of a plan, a system

When we don't have a plan

We tell a story.

Pick a plan and stick to it.

Selfish Prick



Dude im gonna let you into a little secret
that we use inside the Golfmob

YOU need to a selfish PRICK

Listen dude OUR family comes first,

Everything we do we do for them

But we need to pick something that is non
negotiable

Something thats for us,

We can mold it around the family as in a time
slot

But it must be for US and no one else.

Because how can we serve our family if we
cant serve ourself?

How can we be a role model to our kids if we
cant be a role model to ourself?

How can we tell people to try harder if we
are not trying harder ourself?

Dont get this twisted dude im not talking
about the dads that never see their kids.

Or they dads that are glued to their phones
every time they take their kids out.

(i've done this and sometimes we need to be
in two places at once)

But what is your thing?

The thing that is for you and no one else

The thing that is an escape

Escape is a bad word for it but you know what
I mean fella

Something to be selfish over, to switch off
and it cant be WORK,

Whatever it is make it non negotiable

Tell people "its what I do" and you dont need
to justify it

All we ask is that it empowers you.

If it doesn't pick something else

It's Stat Sunday

Titleist stats for TPI screen number 11

Seated Rotation Test.

Out of around 20,000 amateur golfers tested

30 % had less than 50 Degrees of rotation in
their back swing

Compared to the PGA Tour based on the golfers
tested ( around 100) 

Only 9% PGA pro's had less than 50% in this
test in their backswing

Get screened like the pros.

Today is the 1st test for the Wrists.

We are looking to see if you have any
restrictions in the movement of your wrists.

Fuck'um



Had my sons school meeting regarding his
educational health plan,

Spent the whole morning thinking of the
things that needed to be said

Hoping not to forget to cover anything

thinking how we needed to be,

making sure the points got across without
saying something putting everyone on edge

But If it needs to said Fuckum

There was no need to worry,

The fact is NOW

control of these situations is not an issue
for me

Planned what needed to be said and knew that
if shit had to get real

Just go up a gear

Plus done "the Work" before I went in so was
in complete confidence

And the last time we had a meeting, last term

I held the fuckers ACCOUNTABLE with question
after question after question,

Followed by "When will that be implemented"
"Way is it not done already"

it was delt with we can move on and focus on
what we need to do during the summer holiday

if you try to predict the future you can only
be in pain, you can only take care of what is
happening right now

Have goals DEFO dude and try to close the GAP
every day

But remember that being present right now is
the MOST POWERFUL you can be.

One shot at a time and all that dude but its
true

Used to be a distracted PRICK most of the
time when with the family

Mind on everything other than the task in
hand

We can only do 1 thing at a time,

Remember multitasking is just doing two
things half assed

FOCUS and do you best

Thats all ANYONE can do

Thats why everyone does the Moe Greene
special, on intake EACH MONTH

It builds character

And shows you how far you've come

We are at our happiest when we are making
progress
